Semi-Finalist in Iowa

In August I shared the exciting news that my quilt was chosen to display as a semi-finalist at the American Quilting Society show in Des Moines, Iowa.

WOW, it was so exciting to attend the show two weeks ago and see my quilt hanging with other semifinalists.

My first view of my quilt on display was as part of the preview tour I attended on Wednesday. Its the fourth one from the right. We saw the winners before they were even announced to the world, which was very exciting.

In addition to viewing the show, I took classes to improve my quilting techniques and visited friends who lived in the area. It was a wonderful getaway after a busy season.

Sister Bay Fall Festival is this weekend. It will be a very busy time before I close the store for the season on October 15 and return home to see my family.

New This Year, Holiday Shopping Hours!

I’ll be open for holiday shopping during the Door County Christkindlmarkt.

The Door County Christmas Market in Sister Bay debuted in 2021 at the historical site, Corner of the Past Museum, and is held on three consecutive weekends starting after Thanksgiving. I will be open in Downtown Sister Bay daily on Market days. Stop by to finish your seasonal shopping with hand-made, quilted gifts of all sizes.
