Show Winners and Store Update

A lot is happening while we prepare to open our new location in Sister Bay WI, next month. I can’t wait to have everything on display to share with you.

I’m wrapping up several orders now as we prepare to move for the season. And took some time this month for a training event for my newest machine.

In late March the Salt Creek Patchmakers Quilt Guild held their first show since the pandemic. Several of my quilts were on display, including my ‘Loyal Union Sampler’, the 2019 ‘Best of Show’ winner.

This year, ‘Spin Star Variation’ won 2nd Place for Large Bed Quilts, and ‘On Ringo Lake’ won 3rd Place for Small Quilts.

There is always something new to learn in the quilting world. Last year I purchased a new long arm sewing machine. This type of machine allows me to quilt the layers of a large quilt together in a much more efficient way than on a traditional sewing machine.

The downside is it is so big it needs its own room! This month I attended a training to learn all of its technology and use it to its fullest. I can’t wait to create even more one-of-a-kind products for you.

Things are coming along nicely in Sister Bay. I am excited to partner with other small businesses as I get ready to open, including a local sign maker, Bay and Lake Creative Workshop. The sign for our storefront will be hanging when the weather warms up.

So long, for now, I hope you will make plans to visit me this season in Sister Bay.
